Ligure Ouest deep-sea cabled observatory, has been connected to the neutrino observatory ANTARES from 2014 to 2018. It was completely renewed and transfert to  MEUST in 2020. The system comprises 3 platforms: an instrumented mooring line (ALBATROSS), a related hub (MII) and a multi-instrumented junction box (BJS).

This site is devoted to the study of the hydrological features and events happening at the basin scale and of their impact on the deep-ocean biodiversity.

The site, supported by France as a contribution to EMSO, is part of EMSO Ligurian Sea Regional Facility. The site is part of the MOOSE network. It is open to new collaborations, connected instruments for near real time data transmission or autonomous sensors.
