Test site in Iroise sea

The cabled observatory was deployed offshore Molène island in 2012. Dedicated to long term and high-resolution monitoring of coastal biodiversity and biomass, it was also a testing site for sensor and equipment in situ qualification. In 2017, the cable to the seabed station was permanently damaged. The place was returned to its initial state. We are keeping online the nice pictures and videos recorded during the operating period.

The equipment is finding a new application as a test site in the Rade de Brest, in the Bay of Poulmic.

Iroise is supported by France as a contribution to EMSO. The site is open to new collaborations, connected instruments for near real time data transmission or autonomous sensors.
