EMSO Ligurian Sea - Ligure Ouest
This regional facility is the environmental science extension to the cabled neutrino telescope MEUST. It is devoted to the study of the meso and sub meso scale hydrological features and of the hydrological events happening at the basin scale.
It is made up with two instrumented hubs (BJS and MII) and a deep sea mooring (ALBATROSS). Initially connected to ANTARES, the system was recovered in 2018 and refurbished. The deployment on MEUST should be completed in 2020.
The regional facility is supported by France as a contribution to EMSO. The site is part of the MOOSE network. The site is open to new collaborations, connected instruments for near real time data transmission or autonomous sensors.
